TimesPro Revamped Its Course Landing Pages with ConvertPolo and VWO to Drive More Apply Now Clicks

180% "Apply Now" CTA clicks

About TimesPro

TimesPro is one of India’s leading professional learning and upskilling platforms, operating under The Times of India Group. The platform offers industry-aligned programs in management, finance, analytics, and more, designed for working professionals and aspiring leaders.

Courses combine academic rigor with practical insights, helping learners advance their careers. With a growing catalog of high-value programs, converting course page visitors into applicants is critical to the business. For this, TimesPro partnered with ConvertPolo, a CRO agency that runs optimization campaigns on VWO.

Goals

TimesPro’s course pages were attracting qualified traffic but not converting enough of it. Visitors were dropping off before taking any meaningful action, whether that was downloading a brochure or clicking the “Apply Now” CTA. The team needed to understand what was causing that drop-off and whether targeted page improvements could fix it.

Observations

The course pages had a clarity problem. Key program details weren’t visible early enough, CTAs were placed where visitors had already lost interest, and credibility signals, such as accreditations and alumni testimonials, were buried too deeply on the page. Visitors were landing with intent but leaving without enough reason to act.

ConvertPolo observed that the issue wasn’t the programs themselves or the audience quality. The pages simply weren’t structured to move visitors from interest to action.

Tests run

The team ran three landing page experiments on mobile using VWO Testing – Web, each targeting a different course page.

Experiment 1: IIM Indore SLSP (Strategy and Leadership Programme for Senior Professionals) landing page revamp

Hypothesis

Revamping the page with strong visuals, first-fold program highlights, scannable content, and well-placed CTAs would make it more engaging and drive more visitors toward applying.

Changes implemented

The control had a text-heavy layout with program details buried below the fold, and CTAs placed too late in the scroll. The variation introduced high-quality visuals, moved program USPs to the first fold, and repositioned CTAs at natural decision points throughout the page.

2x Timespro Test 1

Results

The variation performed better compared to the control. The “Apply Now” CTA clicks grew by 144.95%, and “Download Brochure” CTA clicks grew by 239%.

Experiment 2: IIM Indore EPHM (Executive Programme in Healthcare Management) landing page revamp

Hypothesis

Highlighting the most important information in the first fold and simplifying the overall layout would boost engagement and push more visitors toward downloading the brochure.

Changes implemented

The control had a cluttered first fold with program details spread across the page in a way that required effort to parse. The variation brought key details upfront, streamlined the layout, and added trust signals, such as accreditations and alumni testimonials, to increase confidence earlier in the visit.

2x Timespro Test 2

Results

The variation won against the control and “Download Brochure” clicks increased by 61.15%.

Experiment 3: IIT Delhi HPDM (Healthcare Product Development and Management) landing page revamp

Hypothesis

Improving visual clarity, presenting program highlights upfront, and placing CTAs more strategically would make the page easier to navigate and increase the number of applications.

Changes Implemented

The control had an unstructured layout with no clear visual hierarchy and program benefits that required scrolling to find. The variation established a clear hierarchy, highlighted key program benefits prominently, and positioned CTAs to reduce drop-offs and guide visitors toward submitting the application form.

2x Timespro Test 3

Results

The variation outperformed the control, with sticky navigation clicks growing by 142.45% and form submissions rising by 34.87%.

Overall impact

Across all three experiments, the overall impact was a 180% growth in the “Apply Now” CTA clicks, a 142% rise in page engagement, and a 301% increase in “Download Brochure” CTA clicks.

Conclusion

TimesPro didn’t change its programs or its pricing. The team worked with ConvertPolo to fix how course pages communicated value to visitors who already had intent, and conversions followed at every stage. The key takeaway is straightforward: clarity and structure on a landing page matter as much as the offer itself. When visitors can find what they need quickly and see a reason to act at the right moment, they do.

VWO provided the team with the infrastructure to run each experiment and validate the results with confidence. Get a personalized demo of VWO and see what a structured experimentation approach can do for your course pages.
