About My Sanskritam

My Sanskritam is an ethnic fashion brand selling Indian wear like kurtas, co-ord sets, festive collections, and more. The brand has a loyal base of shoppers looking for modern Indian fashion with a traditional sensibility.

Mobile is the brand’s primary traffic source, and as that traffic grew, so did the challenge of converting more of it into actual buyers. My Sanskritam partnered with ConvertPolo, a CRO agency that runs optimization campaigns on VWO.

Why VWO?

What I love about VWO is that it has raised the bar for how we experiment and grow. The combination of robust testing capabilities and deep user insights helps us make decisions based on accurate data. We’ve seen a measurable impact on how quickly we iterate and how confidently we scale.

Goal

Visitors were browsing but not buying, and the drop-off wasn’t happening in one place. It was spread across discovery, evaluation, and the moment right before purchase. The team’s goal was to isolate each friction point, test a fix, and measure whether it changed behavior at that stage of the funnel.

Observations

The team at ConvertPolo observed the following across the visitor journey:

  • The mobile hamburger menu had a flat and undifferentiated list with no visual hierarchy. High-intent sections like “Best Sellers” and “New Arrivals” weren’t getting highlighted, category images were missing, and visitors had to work harder than they should to find what they were looking for.
  • Further down the funnel, the Product Listing Page (PLP) offered no way to quickly spot what was trending or worth a closer look.
  • On the Product Detail Page (PDP), visitors were arriving but leaving without buying, with nothing on the page compelling enough to push them toward adding to their cart.

Tests run

Based on the observation, the ConvertPolo team ran three experiments on mobile using VWO Testing- Web.

Experiment 1: Hamburger navigation revamp

Hypothesis

If category images and priority highlights like Best Sellers and New Arrivals were added to the menu, visitors would spend less time scanning and reach the right products faster. Visual cues reduce the cognitive effort of navigating a flat list with no clear hierarchy.

Changes Implemented

Against a plain text list in control, the variation introduced a restructured hierarchy, added category images, and surfaced Best Seller and New Arrivals tags at the top of the menu.

2x My Sanskritam Test 1

Results

The variation outperformed the control, with a 98.86% increase in purchase value per visitor, a 38% increase in conversion, and a 107% growth in revenue.

Experiment 2: Optimizing PLP experience to action with fewer clicks

Hypothesis

Adding product-value signals, such as ribbons, reviews, and quick-action buttons, would reduce decision friction by helping visitors quickly identify popular products, build confidence, and take action with fewer clicks.

Changes Implemented

The control had no tagging or quick actions. The variation introduced “New In” and “Best Seller” ribbons, customer reviews, collection banners, and prominent “Add to Cart” and “Quick View” buttons.

2x My Sanskritam Test 2

Results

The test ended with the variation increasing the Add-to-Cart rate by 22.16% and revenue conversion by 4.51%.

Experiment 3: Tiered discount wrapper on PDP

Hypothesis

A tiered discount structure would reduce purchase hesitation by clearly communicating the rewards of buying more, motivating visitors to add additional items to their cart.

Changes Implemented

No incentive existed in control. The variation introduced a tiered discount wrapper that made the reward for adding more items explicit and visible on the page.

2x My Sanskritam Test 3 (swapped) (1)

Results

The tiered discount wrapper on the PDP added a 7.17% uplift in the add-to-cart rate and a 7.48% increase in revenue.

The compounding effect of all three experiments

Together, the three experiments delivered a 42.5% increase in conversion rate, a 29.33% increase in the Add-to-Cart rate, and a 115% increase in revenue.

Conclusion

ConvertPolo helped My Sanskritam fix how the mobile experience guided visitors from one step to the next, and the gains showed up at every stage. Three targeted experiments, each addressing a specific friction point, delivered a 115% uplift in revenue.

VWO gave the team the infrastructure to test each change and trust what the data was telling them. Start your 30-day free trial of VWO and see what a structured experimentation approach can do for your mobile funnel.
