About Rudderstack
RudderStack is a customer data platform that helps companies collect, process, and send their customer data to different tools and services. Think of it as a smart data pipeline: it captures data from your websites, mobile apps, and other sources, then routes that data to places where you need it – like analytics tools, marketing platforms, or data warehouses. It’s similar to Segment but is known for being more privacy-focused and offering an open-source version that companies can host themselves.
Benefits
RudderStack serves as a warehouse-first customer data platform (CDP) that “builds your CDP on your data warehouse for you.” When integrated with VWO, it creates a centralized system where:
- Complete campaign data: Includes experiment IDs, variation details (ID, name), campaign names, and visitor-level data from A/B tests and personalization campaigns.
- Survey data: Contains survey responses, campaign metadata (e.g., name, traffic percentage), and events tagged as VWO for analysis in 3rd party platforms (like Amplitude).
Can all be consolidated in one place. Additionally, this data can then be routed to other destinations configured to the same source
Use cases
1. Rudderstack as connector
Send VWO test and experimentation data to RudderStack. From Rudderstack your A/B test results can be pushed to your data warehouse or marketing tools for deeper analysis and campaign optimization.
2. Survey Data analysis
Send VWO Surveys campaign data to RudderStack, from where it can be pushed to other tools to analyze survey responses. For example, if you’re running a product feedback survey, you can analyze the responses in tools like Amplitude to understand feature adoption and user preferences.
