How Does VWO Handle Sensitive Visitor Information?

Last updated

VWO does not collect or store sensitive user information, for instance, a checkout page where visitors type a credit card number. By default, VWO automatically ignores all password input fields and never transmits, stores, or replays what is typed. For all input and non-input types that you want to ignore, add nls_protected class to the element.

For example, the following code tells VWO to ignore a credit card number field:

<input type="text" name="cc_number" class="nls_protected"/>

You can anonymize all key presses for Recordings. If you anonymize key presses, VWO ignores all input fields and does not store or transmit the data.
