We make it easier to seek consent before collecting visitor data
VWO Insights, our behavior analytics product which is tightly integrated with VWO Testing, helps seek consent easily. It also helps control which data is tracked, and is available in tools like heatmaps, form analytics, funnel analytics, scrollmaps, etc. for particular users. Based on custom visitor actions (like accepting cookie consent) defined by you, you can control what data you allow VWO to collect. What’s more, the visitors who deny tracking consent despite being sampled for behavioral analysis, will not be counted in your visitor quota.
We updated the Opt-out API to ensure consistent customer experiences
Your website visitors, who were once a part of an A/B test and saw variations, need not have a broken experience should they deny consent to be tracked later on. The Opt-out API ensures just that: showing your visitors all the changes made in the variations they were initially sampled for, without tracking them or their data. All in all, the Opt-out API promises your visitors a consistent (yet private) experience throughout your website.
Your data and campaigns on VWO are precious. That is why we recommend you to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) which adds another layer of authentication even after one has entered the password. This in turn makes sure that your VWO account is secure, despite your passwords being compromised by malicious viruses or hackers. VWO provides two ways to authenticate the users trying to log in:
App-based authentication - Recommended
App-based authentication allows you to use any authentication app that relies on TOTP (Time-based One Time Password) technology to generate a 6 or 8 digit code on the mobile device linked to your registered login email ID.
Enabling this would send a six-digit security code to the email address you use to login to VWO.
We launched a data center so EU data stays in Europe
If you operate out of Europe, your visitor data captured by VWO will never leave the continent. Thanks to our brand new data center in Belgium. This helps our European customers avoid any trans-Atlantic data movement should storing data locally complements their strategy. We promise our customers who choose to opt for data residency in EU smooth migration without any data loss or performance issues. We are currently in the process of making the EU data center the default choice for our European customers.
Success Story: 385% more newsletter sign-ups for Travel Nevada
VWO Partner Noble Studios, US based Performance Marketing agency, identified untapped opportunities to drive higher subscriptions on its client’s (Travel Nevada’s) website. With the goal of increasing newsletter Sign Ups, they hypothesized that alerting visitors at 75% scroll depth would drive more subscriptions. They used a fly-out (a widget that dynamically expands an icon to a message box on the same page) prompting visitors to sign up.
Noble Studios ran a series of iterative tests and identified the best-performing triggers and placements of the fly-out banners. Using insights from prior tests, they further hypothesized that the ‘Subscribe to Newsletter’ fly-out anchored to the right, which expands automatically when the visitor has reached 75% scroll depth, had a higher probability of increasing sign-ups.
