For years, VWO has been the engine behind data-driven decisions for thousands of global businesses. Through our flagship A/B Testing, Feature Experimentation, Personalization, and Behavioral Analytics products, we have empowered teams to determine which experiences work best scientifically.
But confident optimization requires more than just knowing what wins; it requires knowing why it wins or why it fails. To build truly effective tests and ship the right features, you need a hypothesis rooted in empathy.
You need to hear directly from the human behind the screen.
The “context gap” in experience optimization
Behavioral data is the bedrock of optimization, it tells you exactly where to focus. You can see that a user dropped off, or that they rage-clicked. But knowing the action is only half the story. To solve the problem effectively, you need to understand the intent behind it.
We realized that to help our customers build truly beloved experiences, we needed to bridge the gap between User Behavior (Data) and User Intent (Voice).
Enter Blitzllama’s acquisition.
Completing the picture by adding user intent to user behavior is what we’ve been working towards, and today, we’re thrilled to bring it into the VWO ecosystem.
We are excited to announce that VWO has acquired Blitzllama, a platform trusted by modern digital teams to capture contextual feedback and conduct user research at scale.
This acquisition adds another capability to the VWO Platform: transforming our ability to listen. Our existing on-page surveys help teams hear from users on the web, but modern users extend well beyond the browser. With Blitzllama, we’re expanding that capability across mobile apps, websites, and even shareable links, ensuring feedback is captured in the exact moment it matters.
But this isn’t just an expansion of where you listen; it’s a significant upgrade in what you can validate and how deeply you can analyze.
VWO users can now run Design Concept Tests to evaluate UX ideas long before any engineering effort begins. We’re laying the foundation for unified feedback analysis, enabling teams to consolidate insights from multiple sources, including support tickets and app store reviews, into a single, coherent view.
For organizations operating at scale, we’re also introducing enterprise-ready controls such as multilingual support and survey fatigue guardrails. These ensure teams can gather meaningful insights from diverse audiences without overwhelming users or interrupting their experience.
Expanding the depth and precision of feedback collection
Blitzllama’s technology distinguishes itself not just by collecting surveys, but by how it handles the “physics” of user feedback in two specific ways:
1. Contextual intelligence (right user, right time)
Standard surveys often feel like interruptions. Blitzllama changes this by ensuring the right question is asked to the right user at the exact right moment.
Whether a user is navigating a nuanced journey on a mobile app or completing a complex workflow on the web, the stack syncs across platforms to trigger surveys in real time. This results in high response rates and feedback that is tied to a specific moment of friction, rather than a generic afterthought.
2. Turning noise into signal with AI
Collecting feedback is easy; making sense of it is hard. Blitzllama built AI capabilities designed to handle the scale and messiness of qualitative data.
The platform analyzes thousands of open-text form submissions to generate instant summaries, gauge sentiment, and identify actionable themes. This allows teams to get a quick, accurate pulse on the user experience without spending weeks reading through spreadsheets.
Closing the “observe-ask-act” loop
By integrating Blitzllama’s feedback stack into VWO’s existing ecosystem, we are unlocking a significant capability for Product Managers, Growth leads, and digital teams.
With the addition of VWO Pulse, which merges Blitzllama’s capabilities with the existing VWO Insight surveys, you can now confidently build the right products by closing the loop entirely with VWO:
- Observe: Use VWO Insights to spot friction (e.g., a high drop-off rate in the signup flow).
- Ask: Trigger a hyper-targeted VWO Pulse survey to that specific segment, checking – “What’s stopping you?”
- Hypothesize: Use the AI-summarized feedback to understand the root cause (e.g., “Users are confused by the password requirements”). In the future, convert these into a one-click hypothesis.
- Act: Launch a VWO A/B Test, deploy a VWO Personalization campaign, or roll out a VWO Feature Experiment to validate the fix.
This structure moves you from guessing to knowing, ensuring that every experiment you run is backed by direct user evidence.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about what this unlocks for our customers.
By bringing Blitzllama’s capabilities into the VWO platform, we’re building a more connected optimization ecosystem, one that enables teams to listen more effectively, learn faster, and act with greater confidence. The coming weeks will bring a range of powerful enhancements designed to deepen customer understanding and accelerate digital experience innovation.
