{"id":991,"date":"2021-08-23T10:33:10","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T10:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vwo.com\/product-updates\/?p=991"},"modified":"2023-02-15T09:08:34","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T09:08:34","slug":"run-mutually-exclusive-experiments-with-vwo-fullstack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vwo.com\/product-updates\/run-mutually-exclusive-experiments-with-vwo-fullstack\/","title":{"rendered":"Run Mutually Exclusive Experiments with VWO FullStack"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ability to run mutually exclusive experiments is considered a key weapon in the arsenal of any experimentation team, the reasons being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The experimentation team can be confident about the reporting data of each experiment to be free from noise and bias of other experiments being run.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As a side effect of 1, the experiment team can move with greater velocity &#8211; No longer do they need to run important experiments serially.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>VWO Testing already has the ability to run mutually exclusive experiments, now with the same ability in VWO Fullstack our customers can make sure the experimentation program can run at a high velocity &#8211; More experiments in the same amount of time without worrying about the <a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2019\/04\/13\/the-dark-side-of-a-b-testing\/\">\u201cInteraction effects\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Concept of Mutually Exclusive experiment groups:&nbsp; <\/strong>To run mutually exclusive experiments in VWO FullStack, the experiments which can potentially influence each other are required to be added to a mutually Exclusive experiments group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On doing the above, whenever VWO FullStack SDKs evaluate what experiment\/variation combination is to be given as the output &#8211; It is made sure only one experiment is chosen randomly from the mutually exclusive experiment group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experiments can be added to a Mutually exclusive experiment group in 2 ways :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Via VWO account settings.
