Web Testing

The pricing for Web Testing is primarily based on Visitors consumed for Testing or Visitor Quota. Note that visitor quota you purchase is not the traffic you receive on your website, but simply the visitors that become part of the tests on your website.

Visitor Quota consumption

Visitor quota is exhausted as and when visitors become part of the tests running on your website. Each visitor can become part of multiple tests and will be counted multiple times towards quota consumption. For example, if there are 3 tests running on your website and a visitor becomes part of all 3 tests then visitor quota consumed is counted as 3.

Data Collection and Retention

All your Tests data are retained until you have an active paid subscription with VWO. We do not sample or delete data until unless specified through settings or actions in an individual test.

Conversion Optimization Platform

Conversion optimization platform pricing is based on two metrics:

  • Volume of visitors you want to Test, which includes visitors consumed in A/B, MVT, Split or Personalization campaigns
  • Volume of visitors for Research, which includes Goals, Funnels, Heatmaps, Recordings and Forms

Visitor Quota consumption

Visitor quota for Test are consumed based on the number of unique visitors who become part of one or more of your website tests. While Web Testing accounts for every visitor in the test pages, Conversion Optimization only accounts for unique visitors. For example, if a visitor becomes part of 3 tests in a month (or a 30 day billing cycle) then he will be counted only once.

Visitor for Research are exhausted based on a sampled set of visitors. Based on the volume of visitors purchased, we sample visitors uniformly from the traffic coming to your website (or part of website/pages where VWO tracking code is present) to ensure you get a representative set across a month. Visitors are counted as unique, which means that once a visitor is sampled we gather all the data points for Goals, Funnels, Heatmaps, Recordings and Forms for this visitor regardless of how many times they return in that month.

Data Collection and Retention

All test data are retained until you have an active paid subscription with VWO. We do not sample or delete data until unless specified through settings or actions in an individual test.

All your Research data (including Goals, Funnels, Heatmaps, Recordings and Forms) are retained on a rolling window basis as per your data retention policy.

All your Surveys data are retained until you have an active paid subscription with VWO. We do not sample or delete data until unless specified through settings or actions in an individual survey.
