So most of our time goes into writing and we don\u2019t leave enough time for its promotion \u2014 getting it out to the right audience and building traction. I forgot to mention all of this needs to be done quickly once published. I think of it as a nitrous boost for your blog\u2019s journey around the web.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Don\u2019t worry in case you haven\u2019t been able to achieve the same results with your content promotion. Some angels out there have been looking out for us and have spent time and effort to build great solutions for us, I\u2019ve discussed some of those solutions here to help you level up your content promotion game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let\u2019s begin:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>1) Mailshake.com<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This baby is still in the beta stage, its goal is simple; you want to contact your influencers but:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>1.<\/strong> You don\u2019t have their email ids and let&#8217;s say by some luck you get them,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>2.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You don\u2019t want to waste time sending individual emails, because response rates for cold emails are very low, so you need to bulk up the number of emails you send. Let\u2019s face it, <a href=\"https:\/\/hunter.io\/blog\/cold-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cold outreach<\/a> can seem like shooting arrows in the dark.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>3.<\/strong> You need to do social outreach too, through LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter but again, how many tweets will you send out individually?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mailshake.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mailshake.com<\/a> (earlier ContentMarketer.io) will help you resolve each of these issues like so:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first step is to find influencers, you can do so by researching a page that has your relevant influencers mentioned such as a digital marketing event page or a blog post on social media influencers for eCommerce. (You can even upload .csv files in case you\u2019ve got contact lists.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can craft emails (or use inbuilt templates) and reach out to your influencers in batches, after clicking \u2018send\u2019 your <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/beginners-guide-to-email-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email campaigns<\/a> will be tracked for opens and clicks. For example, contacts who are my followers, and not followed by me can be pulled out. Basically, it gives a whole combination of possibilities with your Twitter handle.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vwo.com\/ab-testing\/#guide-download\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Download Free: A\/B Testing Guide<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2>3) Buzzsumo<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s begin with an example:<\/p>\n<p>I searched for the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/vwo.com\/blog\/mobile-app-ab-testing-tool\/\">Mobile App A\/B testing tool<\/a>\u201d because it\u2019s a topic I wanted to find what others had written on. Here\u2019s where <a href=\"https:\/\/buzzsumo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buzzsumo<\/a> comes in.<\/p>\n<p>What does this tool do?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Search for any topic and it\u2019ll show you the most popular content for that topic.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enter a URL and Buzzsumo will show you how much the link has been shared &#8211; this tells you how well the topic has been covered and its performance so that you know what is worth writing about. It also helps you avoid repetition by helping you craft a piece that provides distinct value.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Check out <a href=\"https:\/\/vwo.com\/glossary\/backlink\/\">backlinks<\/a>, so you know which websites to reach out to and expect good news from, or simply find websites that write about similar topics and will be interested in your content. Furthermore, it shows you a list of sharers in the \u2018view sharers\u2019 tab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Buzzsumo, too, like Followerwonk, helps you find influencers. It&#8217;s useful for finding those spam websites that might have linked to you and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">disavowing<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In essence, OSE helps you monitor your website\u2019s health and steer clear of bad neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to describe this tool is that it is akin to a flaming torch in a dark span of endless data!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I almost forgot to mention how they constantly update their data adding close to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">200 million+ URLS every 60 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>5) Buffer<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/buffer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buffer<\/a> makes social media management easy. All of us need to reach out to influencers through Twitter but some constraints we face are tweeting at the opportune time and composing tweets individually.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Buffer lets you schedule and more! The analytics section is super easy to read, with pointers on how many clicks you\u2019ve been getting and even the possible number of followers that will see your tweet. Still read on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To put it simply, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outbrain.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Outbrain<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is a content recommendation platform that helps businesses and brands acquire more traffic by promoting their content on publisher sites with relevant traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Getting Outbrain is like buying your way into a marketplace all content marketers want to be a part of. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Outbrain uses <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vwo.com\/glossary\/behavioral-targeting\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">behavioral targeting<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to recommend interesting articles, slideshows, posts, photos or videos to a reader rather than based simply on content that may be similar. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The global audience reached by Outbrain each month is 557 million.<\/p>\n<p>Outbrain is currently used by small and large web publishers, media agencies, brand and marketing managers, book publishers, PR companies, start-ups, small businesses, travel, and hospitality companies, and app developers for as low as $15 a day!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s outbrain in action:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34151\" src=\"https:\/\/static.wingify.com\/vwo\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/11\/outbrain_screenshot_262864.jpg\" alt=\"Outbrain Screenshot\" width=\"600\" height=\"378\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s also been known to work better for B2C content or that with broader appeal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>7) Curata<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.curata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curata<\/a> has two platforms on offer the Content Curation Platform and a <a href=\"https:\/\/vwo.com\/glossary\/content-marketing\/\">Content Marketing<\/a> Platform. First the CCP \u2013 a platform that gets you content from around the world and lets you publish it with a single click. Your objective in using this software is to be able to publish more frequently, save time on your research find third-party content, and syndicate it.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here\u2019s how you can use it:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Search for the kind of content you want such as long form or short form. Then fill in keywords, and Curata gives you a list of posts. Now it&#8217;s up to you to decide how relevant it is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Curata learns what kind of content you are on the lookout for and then begins to recommend the content of a similar kind in the future. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Furthermore, you can set other parameters according to your needs. I was especially impressed by the analytics section, an example of how you can use it: Categorize your posts according to your authors, see which ones are generating you the most revenue, Curata tracks the performance of the post, sees how many leads which came in converted, that is revenue generated through the post. Let\u2019s just say it\u2019ll even be easier for you to spot who to fire and who to give a raise to. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These are the tools I found useful, I&#8217;m sure there are more out there.
